Spring access is back, with skiing and riding at five resorts starting on March 10, the day the 2022-23 pass goes on sale, and five more on April 4. If you didn’t buy a pass this season and have been waiting to remedy the situation, you’re in luck. The days can be split between different resorts. There’s also a new pass option for those who just want to lock in a few days: The Session Pass, previously only available as a four-day option, is now sold in two- and three-day versions, as well. The full pass is going from $999 to $1,079 ($979 with renewal discount), and the Base Pass to $769 ($719 renewal). Prices are going up for next season, as expected. Sun Valley joins the Ikon Pass next season after three seasons on the Epic Pass. Finally, Wash.’s Crystal Mountain is going from unlimited to restricted access, offering seven days on the full pass and five days on the Base Pass. The third new destination is Chamonix, with five days on the Base Pass and seven on the full pass. Deer Valley and Alta are also moving to the Base Pass Plus, joining Aspen Snowmass and Jackson Hole. Full Ikon Pass holders will get seven days at each, but the resorts will be part of the Ikon Base Pass Plus, which costs $200 more than the Base Pass, and gets pass holders five blackout-restricted days at each.
